UK Departure and Travel Day
The trip begins with a delay caused by a major thunderstorm. Paul drives Victoria and Claire to London Gatwick Airport, where Claire briefly comments that Stonehenge is overrated. They stay overnight at a Premier Inn near the airport before taking a flight to Orlando on Norse Atlantic Airways, a budget airline they are using for the first time due to viewer interest.
Arrival in Orlando
Upon landing, Victoria and Claire use the Mears Connect shuttle service to reach Disney’s All Star Sports Resort. They complete a quick check-in, explore the food court, and purchase refillable mugs.
First Full Day and Early Magic Kingdom
The day starts with an early arrival and rope-drop strategy at Magic Kingdom. Victoria and Claire ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure using a pre-booked Lightning Lane or multipass, noting they were glad to avoid long standby waits. They also experience Pirates of the Caribbean, described by Victoria as a favourite because of its iconic smell, and the Haunted Mansion. The footage includes other attractions and park areas in passing, such as a train ride and general wandering.
Snacks and Merchandise
Throughout the day Victoria and Claire stop for snacks and browse merchandise, including Halloween-themed treats, Rice Krispie treats, a Blondie Pie or Twix item, and popcorn. A cast member informs them that Trash Can Treats and certain candy containers have been sold out permanently.
Late Afternoon and Evening Transition
As crowds increase for Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, Victoria and Claire leave Magic Kingdom and travel to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge to enjoy the lobby and atmosphere. They visit the Victoria Falls lounge and bar area, where they order non-alcoholic mocktails with flavours resembling a Pear Mule and a spiced chai colada or pina colada. They share Cape Town slap chips, which are smashed and fried potatoes with toppings, and compare them positively to viral smashed potato trends. The vlog highlights the lobby architecture, seating areas, and shop items, including an Up-themed Carl and Ellie mailbox product.
Return to Resort and Reflection
Back at All Star Sports Resort, Victoria and Claire relax in their room with tea served in refillable mugs. Victoria gives a positive recap of the first day, noting that the multipass was useful but not essential, and she appreciated the suggestion to resort-hop on busy park days. She teases upcoming vlogs that will cover more of Magic Kingdom, including the Starlight Parade and Halloween Party, other parks, Disney Springs, additional resorts, and a separate Target run vlog. She encourages viewers to explore Disney resort lobbies and bars as a relaxing activity during crowded park times.
